On Friday afternoon, the biggest spectacle in high school cross country in the entire Rocky Mountain region will hit the asphalt at Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado. Racers from near and far will come dreaming of PRs. They will come mentally prepared to spend every ounce of energy in their system toward accomplishing that end. That is what makes Liberty Bell, Liberty Bell.
The race breaks down into four divisions. If your school is from Colorado, your division placement depends on your enrollment. If you're making the extra effort to come from out-of-state, you get some extra latitude in selecting your division. And teams will be pulling in from Nebraska, Wyoming, and New Mexico.
