Ryan Hall led from the gun and pressed the pace in the early miles, thinning the field and showing that he was ready to make the other men earn a spot. He succeeded as Abdi Abdirahman and Meb Keflezighi were the only other athletes to lead, as they briefly took over the lead from Hall during parts of the late miles. Around mile 25 Meb took over for good from Hall and held on to the finish to earn the Trials championship in 2:09.03. Hall held on for 2nd in 2:09.30 and Abdi was 3rd in 2:09.47. Dathan Ritzenhein closed hard for 4th in 2:09.55, the first time 4 US men have been under 2:10 in the same marathon race! Men's Full Results Here
