  • Samantha Nadel (North Shore) won the Invite mile run with a US#1 at Armory record time of 4:46.11 in a thrilling race.  Mary Cain (Bronxville) was 2nd in 4:48.98.
  • Ned Willig (Great Valley) won the boys Invite mile with a US#3 time of 4:15.61 to get a Millrose Mile qualifier, a feat his father achieved in the 1970's.
  • Garden City won the girls 4x800 with a solid time of 9:21.64.
  • Boys and Girls (NY) won the 4x400 relay with a quick 3:21.06 clocking.
  • Kimberly Baily won the girls 200 meter dash with a fast 24.43 clocking.
  • Najee Glass won the boys 200 with a quick 21.5 time.  
  • Dana Giordano won the girls seeded 800 with a time of 2:15.41.
  • Robert Rhodes won the seeded boys 800 with a time of 1:55.21.
  • Medgar Evers girls won the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:41.86.
  • Alexis Panisse (Benjamin Cardozo), a Foot Locker Finalist, won the girls 3000 meter run with a time of 10:05.41 after trading places with Brianna Nerud the whole race.
  • Thomas Awad (Chaminade) won the boys 2 mile run with a time of 9:10.97 after pulling away from Foot Locker Finalist Dan Lennon late in the race.
  • Uniondale won the boys 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:30.45.
  • Kadicia Baird (Medgar Evers) won the girls 400 meter dash with a time of 55.85.
  • Champ Page (Wise MD) won the boys 400 dash with a time of 48.5.
  • Xavier McAllister (Newburgh) won the high jump with a clearance of 6-8.

 

Montgomery Invitational, MD

Coverage

Highlights

  • Mobolaji Adeokun (DuVal) won the long jump with a leap of 18-09 to set the meet record and also won the 55 dash with a time of 7.14.  
  • Emma Keenan (Gwynedd Mercy) won the girls 800 run with a time of 2:15.15.
  • Foot Locker Finalist Sophie Chase (Lake Braddock) won the girls 3200 with a time of 11:06.77. 
  • Antonella Taylor (Bowie) won the girls shot put with a US#1 toss of 46-09 to also capture the meet record.
  • Foot Locker Finalist Ahmed Bile (Annandale VA) won the boys Mile run with a time of 4:21.21.

 

Metropolitan Coaches Invitational, NY

Highlights

  • Ajee Wilson (Neptune) blasted a nation-leading time of 2:48.31 for 1000 meters in a race against open and collegiate athletes.  The time is US#10 All-Time.

 

Texas A&M HS Classic, TX

Coverage

Highlights

  • Aldrich Bailey had quite the electric day in Texas, exploding in both the 400 and 200!  He won the 400 meter dash with a lightning quick 47.05 clocking, which is US#9 All-Time and US#6 individual All-Time!  Richard Gary was 2nd in 47.90.
  • Bailey also added the 200 dash with a time of 21.14 to break the meet record!  The time is a tie for US#8 All-Time and a tie for US#6 individual All-Time!
  • Tiara Cross won the girls 400 dash with a time of 56.50.
  • Aaliyah Brown won the 60 meter dash in 7.46 and then doubled back quickly to take the 200 dash in 24.60.
  • Devin Field won the boys long jump with a solid 24-7.25.
  • Shawn Barber (Kingwood Park) soared to a 17-6.5 clearance in the pole vault for US#2 All-Time and US#1 ahead of fellow Texan Reese Watson (Spring) who cleared 17-6 last weekend at the PV Expo Explosion.

 

Dartmouth Relays, NH

Coverage

Highlights

  • Precious Holmes (Hillhouse, CT) established a new US#1 time and meet record by winning the 400m in 55.80.  She had the fastest time of the day by over 3 seconds; a truly impressive feat on the non-banked track of the Dartmouth Field House.

 

LSU Indoor Classic, LA

Highlights

  • Kendell Williams had a big day, winning three events.  Kendell ran 8.03 to win the 55 meter hurdles, the high jump with a clearance of 5-8 and the long jump with a leap of 18-03.25.
  • Felecia Brown ran 55.47 to take the win in the girls 400 meter dash.
  • Michael Newton blasted a 48.99 to win the boys 400 meter dash.
  • Dylan Duvio cleared 16-00 to win the boys pole vault.  

 

Southeastern Invitational, VA

Coverage

Highlights

  • Justin Burke (First Colonial) blasted a US#1 6.38 in the 55 meter dash as Ayo Raymond (James Robinson) finished 2nd in 6.44.  Damian Smith (Green Run) was 3rd, just a blink back in 6.45.  
  • Trey Holloway (Grassfield) won the 55 hurdles with a US#2 clocking of 7.39.

 

Bupa Great Edinburgh XC Challenge, Scotland

Highlights

  • Former HS star and current Stanford runner Aisling Cuffe finished 2nd in the womens 4km junior race with a time of 15:09 while Foot Locker champion Molly Seidel was 3rd with a time of 15:16 and Katie Knight was 4th in 15:23.  
  • In the boys junior race Andrew Gardner (WA) finished 5th in 20:11, only 15 seconds behind US winner Kirubel Erassa.
