Graham and Beroset Shine in the Mile at RunningLane

Danielle Graham of IMG and Andrew Beroset of Gulf Breeze both set Florida top 5 all-time marks in the Mile on day two of the RunningLane Track Championships. Graham ran 4:45.36 as she battled Kinley Wolfe of Cherry Creek in Colorado, who won with a time 4:43.08. Graham's time puts her at Florida number 5 all-time in the girls' mile. Beroset was 10th in the boys' Championship race with a 4:05.92, ranking him at Florida number four all-time, number two all-time for sophomores, and U.S. number four all-time for sophomores. On Friday evening, Beroset was 5th in the 3200 with an 8:49.28, placing him at Florida number five all-time in the 3200m, number one for sophomores all-time, and U.S. number four all-time for sophomores.

In section 3 of the Girl's Mile, Margaret Bartlow of North Bay Haven, coming off a second place finish in the girls' championship 3200 on Friday evening with a 10:13.56, was fourth in 4:54.20.

Oasis junior, Jazlyn Forbes was eighth in the championship 3200 with a 10:30.36 and finished ninth in the Mile in 4:58.24. Tessa Massa of Bishop Kenny was 12th in 5:01.63, and Daniela Hernandez of the Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart was 16th in 5:08.11.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, Kiera Forbes of Gainesville HS was fifth in the girls' 2000m Steeplechase with a 7:41.44.  In the boys' Steeplechase, Alejandro de Bastos of Pembroke Pines Charter, taking after his father, who ran the steeplechase, tested the waters for the first time, placing 7th in 6:17.56. Junior Henry Carlson of the Canterbury School was 9th in 6:21.51.  In the 400m, David Reed of Ocala Vanguard was second in 49.49.
