It's been a busy Spring, and despite some of the worst weather we've had in years, the records keep falling. New York keeps Class Records, Overall Records, Top 50 All-Time Lists, and of course, Section Records. Before 2000, Section Records were only eligible to be set at your Sectional or State Qualifier Meets. As FAT timing became more prominent, and travel became easier for top athletes, as well as the rise in post-season opportunities, the way Section Record have been calculated has been adjusted, and retroactively updated.
Section Records now stand as the best mark held by a person of a member section, run at any period in their High School career.
You can find the full list of current Section Records below. Wind-gauges are required for Sprints and Horizontal Jumps.
