With the team scores so tight between Wiggins High School and Heritage Christian, Nahia Kelley and Brooke Schimdt played an important role for the team. First, Kelley was able to take the victory in both the 200m and the 400m. Her time of 57.92 gave her almost a second lead on the runner-up. Her 200m was a little bit closer, winning by only 1/100th of a second, running 25.56 versus Mindy Griggs of Buena Vista High School, who ran 25.57. 

For Schmidt, she easily won both throws events. Her best was definitely the discus throw, where she threw a staggering mark of 146-10. Her throw was the best of all the discus throwers at the state meet and the mark was the 2nd best in all of Colorado for this season. 

Moving back to the track, Jessica Black of Cedaredge High School concluded her senior year, winning multiple titles in various event groups. Her best win was in the 1600m, where she was back in 7th place before the bell lap, but with about 450 meters to go, Black turned on her fi...
