For the Class 2A division, Bobby Kiesewetter of Golden View Classical Academy was the story of the meet. Not only did he win the 800m, 1600m, and the 3200m - a very challenging feat, but he also ran incredibly fast to earn those three titles. In both the 1600m and the 3200m, Kiesewetter ran 2A state meet records. In the 1600m he ran a time of 4:17 and 9:25 for the 3200m. What makes all of this even more impressive was him running all of these races completely solo, running personal best times in all three of the events.
Joe Probst of West Grand High School also won the 110m hurdles in a dominating fashion. He was the only 2A hurdler to break 15 seconds this season, and he ran 14.77 in the final to win the state title. 2nd place was almost a second behind, running 15.50.
Finally, in the field events, Brady Mollendor of Sedgwick County and Isaiah Guzman of Rye High School battled it out on the runway. In the long jump, Mollendor got the upper-hand, jumping 21-10 as opposed to G...
