With the outdoor track and field season now heading into the final stretch for the southern states, and the north ramping right up, it's the perfect time to update the COROS MileSplit50 Girls Individual Outdoor Track and Field Rankings. These rankings provide an exclusive look at the nation's top athletes, highlighting those who have made their mark this season.
These past two weeks saw both Texas and Florida contest their State Championships, two of the most competitive in the country. We also saw plenty of individual stars shine in their own respective pockets across the country.
Below, you can find three who deserve separate recognition.

A Closer Look at the COROS MS50 Rankings
8. Jason Atwood (Chiles, Fla.)
There are plenty of sprinters in the Top 10, but only one field event breaks through the crowd. Jason Atwood launched a monster throw at the Region Meet, hitting 225-4 in the Discus. That's an improvement of his US #10 All-Time earlier in the season, to bump all the way up to US #5 All-Time. He then went on to win the Florida State Meet one week later.
19. Jackson Cantwell (Nixa, Mo.)
Continuing with our throwers, the number one commit in the country decided on the University of Miami this past week. Cantwell is the son of Olympian Christian Cantwell and sits at US #10 All-Time for the shot put. However, football is his first love, and it's undecided whether he'll continue to be a two-sport athlete in college. He's only a junior, but he'll be leaving high school early to get on the football train in Florida.
25. Cole Boone (Pulaski County, Va.)
Sometimes, the sweet spot in your range can only be found Indoors, and the transition outdoors can be an adjustment. Boone was the star of the 1000m indoors, but didn't have the same dominance over the 1600m or 600m. Outdoors, it's all about the 800m, and with his 1:47.94 as a junior, he's proven he's no one-trick pony.
