We all know that if there were a state championship meet between every school in Mississippi, a big school like Clinton or Pearl would probably take the cake most years. But every team has its specialty. In this mini-series, we're gonna score each team based on only certain events to see who really shines in each category. With the second edition of this series, the sprinters are on deck.
Scoring is based on the top ten athletes/teams in each sprint event - 100m, 100mH, 110mH, 200m, 300mH, 400m, 4x100m, 4x200m, 4x400m. If you're ranked 10th in the state, you get 1 point. If you're ranked 1st in the state, you get 10 points. Stack those up for each school, and whichever team has the most points gets the crown as the best sprint squad in the state.
