The relays always get to show off how strong an event squad really is, but there are definitely other constraints, including handoffs, exchange zones, etc. so it does not always give the full picture of who has the fastest athletes in each event. Just like how a cross country meet is scored, putting everyone's times against each other, we have the best event squads in the 100m listed below that shows the potential of a team's relay and shows off how strong a school is in each event.
It is no surprise that Eaglecrest High School is at the top of the list considering they just broke 41 seconds in the 4x100m relay. Their top four athletes have an average 100m time of 10.77 and their spread is incredibly tight starting with 10.70 and their slowest at 10.80. This definitely can contribute to easy handoffs when everyone is able to match each other's speed. Plus, they definitely have the depth with their next athletes running 10.88 and 10.94 so far this season.
