The high school boys' 4x400m relay at the 2025 Pepsi Florida Relays had an exciting finish. When Miami Norland's (FL) Tywan Cox received the baton on the final exchange, his team trailed by a few seconds behind Bullis School (MD).
The University of Illinois commit faced a tall task as he chased down Bullis' Quincy Wilson, the 2024 Paris Gold medalist. In the final 100m of the race, Cox surged ahead, securing the win for his team in 3:08.74, while Bullis finished second with a time of 3:09.97.
The team from Miami Norland's time now ranks U.S. No. 8 all-time for high school boys.
Wilson and Cox had a fierce battle in the open 400m the day before, where Wilson won running 45.27, while Cox finished second with a time of 46.29.
