Dana Wilson Makes Sprint History at the Florida Relays

---

What a weekend for Dana Wilson!!

The senior sprint sensation delivered one of the most remarkable performances in high school sprinting history this past weekend at the Florida Relays, smashing past her previous PRs in the 100m and 200m to blast up the all-time leaderboards.

On Friday night, Wilson scorched the track in the 200m Olympic Development Final, clocking a wind-legal 22.45-a time that ranks her No. 5 all-time among high school girls. Then, with little rest and no signs of slowing down, she returned Saturday afternoon to dominate the 100m Olympic Development Final, crossing the line in a blistering 11.09, which also ranks her No. 5 all-time.

Both races were run in elite Olympic Development heats, and Wilson didn't just win-she commanded the competition, leaving the field far behind. Her times were so impressive that she would have won the Collegiate section of the 100m outright, and her 200m would have placed her second there by just 0.02 seconds.

Her times also crushed her previous PRs of 11.23 in the 100m and 23.12 in the 200m. Running a 0.14 second PR in the 100m shot her up from 19th all-time to 5th all-time. In the 200m, her 0.67 second PR shot her from 48th all-time, to 5th all-time.

What Wilson accomplished at the Florida Relays was more than just fast-it was historic. Her double ranks among the greatest outdoor sprint doubles ever recorded at the high school level. The only faster combination in history? Candace Hill's legendary 11.08/22.43 performance at the 2015 IAAF World Youth Championships.

With these performances, Dana Wilson now joins elite company, becoming just the third high school girl ever-alongside Shawnti Jackson and Candace Hill-to rank in the top five all-time for both the 100m and 200m.

The weekend wasn't just a breakout-it was a statement. Dana Wilson has arrived, and the sprint world is officially on notice.
