Cole Boone, a junior from Pulaski Countyan Appalachian region of Virginia, turned heads this winter with a breakout indoor track season that combined national-level speed with next-level preparation. Boone set a high school national record in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:20.14 and captured the New Balance Nationals title in the 800 meters, clocking 1:48.29-all while training largely on his own and leveraging cutting-edge COROS tools to guide his development.

Behind the standout performances was a season built on self-discipline, smart data, and a growing mental game. Boone refined his training system, embraced technology like the COROS POD 2 to track pacing in challenging terrain, and found confidence through new coaching and sports psychology support.
