Archbishop Carrol Resets the 4x200m Record...Again
Archbishop Carroll (DC) made history at New Balance Nationals, becoming the first high school team to break 1:25 indoors with a record-setting 4x200m time of 1:24.37. The squad of Elijah Amenra, Niles Briggman, Keenen Davis, and Jake Odey-Jordan has now broken the national record three times this season, improving on their marks from The VA Showcase (1:25.21) and Millrose Games (1:25.15). Odey-Jordan has been part of all four of Carroll's record-breaking relay teams over the past two years, solidifying their place among the best sprint squads in history.
Wilson, Salvodon and Johnson Shine in 400m Prelims
Quincy Wilson led the way in the boys 400m prelims at New Balance Nationals, running an impressive 46.55 to top all qualifiers. The Bullis junior looked smooth and in control, setting himself up as the favorite for the final.
