As a lot of states wrapped up their respective postseasons, these five boys threw down some strong performances ahead of the national postseason.
The National Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 6, and the winner will be announced shortly after.
Take a look at five of the top-performing boys from last weekend.
Luke Pash, Ridgewood (N.J.): What's better than winning a NJSIAA Meet of Champions title? Winning the title and the fifth-fastest time in state history. At the Meet of Champions, Pash pulled away from the field to win by 11 seconds, successfully defending his title from a year ago.
Corbin Coombs, Organ Mountain (N.M.): The uncommitted senior broke his own New Mexico state record in the mile, this time running 4:01.62 at The Circuit: Philadelphia. Coombs is the 16th-fastest indoor miler in high school history, and adds another state record to his collection.
Fletcher Geake, Northbrook (Ill.): What a busy week it was for the senior, as Geake competed at the Pritzker, St. Pats, VH, GBN Meet and the Boys Sequoit Showdown. Geake ran 23.84 and 7.62 to win 200m and 60mH in his first meet of the week. He finished fifth in the 60mH at the Boys Sequoit Showdown.
Jordaine Johnson, East Orange Campus (N.J.): A pair of titles was the name of the game for Johnson over the weekend. At the NJSIAA Meet of Champions, Johnson won titles in the 200m and 400m. Clocking 21.25 and 47.43, the future Florida Gator won his first Meet of Champions titles.
Victor Olesen, St. Christopher's (Va.): Over the weekend, the best pole vaulter in the country took his spot at the top of the leaderboard. Olesen cleared a national lead of 17-7.5 at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational, winning the competition by over four feet. The junior sits No. 3 on the all-time junior list, and is the 11th best jumper in high school history.
