It's been six weeks since we last checked in on the boy's distance running landscape, and in that time national records were shattered and history was made around the country.
Mercer Island (Wash.) superstar Owen Powell broke the indoor national record for the mile, running 3:56.66 at the BU Terrier DMR Challenge..
Crater (Ore.) teammates Josiah Tostenson and Tayvon Kitchen made history as the first high school teammates to run sub-four in the following heat. The pair clocked 3:57.47 and 3:59.61, respectively, the No. 2 and No. 7 all-time.
In addition to these three milers, hundreds of other athletes have lowered their PBs on the track, breaking various records and making history along the way.
