Predicting 2025 MO TF Class and District Alignments

Class 1

Once again a catch-all for the smaller enrollment schools, Class 1 is massive with every district hosting at least 19 boys teams and 19 girls teams. Our projection shows 156 teams for each gender in Class 1, with several moving in from Class 2. Montrose with Appleton City and Crest Ridge posted 119 enrollment totals and form the top of the class, Breckenridge with their 11 students 9-11 are the smallest school with a track and field team.

Teams moving in to Class 1 include: Crest Ridge, St. Paul Lutheran (Concordia), Blue Eye, Crystal City, St. Vincent, Schuyler County, Jasper, Bismarck, and Bishop LeBlond. There will also be a few teams who will be competing for the first time in at least one year this spring with Winona, Faith Christian Academy, and Craig High School being among them.

District 1

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 1, like all the rest resides in the Southeastern part of the state. It does move as far west as Dora and Bakersfield. A couple of St. Louis area schools occupy the group, as well, making this district one that occupies quite a bit of land. The athletes in this district who meet our standard for recognition are reigning State champions Cade Nold and Reagan Meyer

--

District 2

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 2 will look similar to 2024 with schools spanning from Clopton in the east all the way to Stoutland in the southwest and New Franklin in the northwest. Several schools could be flipped in and out of this district with so many in such close proximity. Bailey Baker and Ava Kloeppel are the two athletes who meet our standard for recognition here.

--

District 3

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 3 also looks similar to last year, occupying an area from Canton to Slater and all the way up to the Iowa border with Schuyler County moving back in. Brunswick's Joslynn Brown is the only returner who meets our criteria for recognition here, but reigning State long and triple jump champion Colby Jenkins was not too far off.

--

District 4

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

With so many Class 1 schools in the northern part of the state, and because we do not think MSHSAA will change much from last year's strategy of drawing districts, District 4 should split Districts 3 and 8 once again in 2025. Green City is the eastern-most school and we have Pattonsburg moving in to form up the western border. Tina-Avalon, Braymer, Polo, and Hale + Bosworth form up the southern border. Many of the state's smallest schools are located here, as well. Pattonsburg's Katelyn Jones meets criteria for mention in this district.

--

District 5

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Class 1 doesn't follow the same snaking movement as the others as District 5 moved all the way down to the southwestern part of the state. Things can change from year to year, but again, in the interest of uniformity, we will put District 5 where it was last year. Bronaugh is the northernmost school with the Arkansas border residing in the South. Top athletes include Ally Barton, Crystal Smith, and Lannah Grigg.

--

District 6

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 5 and 6 could look different in that the schools that border each other could very well be switched in and out. District 6 is comprised of a few schools southeast of the eastern border of 5 (Chadwick, Greenwood, and Summit Prep), but we won't question MSHSAA on something like that. Midway, Chilhowee, and Leeton form up the northern border and Macks Creek is to the east. We did also push Norwood into District 6 this year from 1 to account for new schools and other movement in and out. While nobody in this district meets the MileSplit second team standard, Weaubleau's Aden Hicks and Drexel's Grace Francis are featured athletes out of this group.

--

District 7

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 7 occupies a good amount of land, as well, starting at Bunceton in the east and spanning to the Kansas border, with Green Ridge and DeKalb forming the southern and northern borders. Dakota Reynolds is the featured athlete in this district as the top triple jump returner in Class 1.

--

District 8

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

No surprises with District 8, though District 8 in Class 1 is much more compact in the northwestern corner of the State than the others. Several of Class 1's best talents reside in this district, including Kyle Emerson, August Meadows, Ella Meyerkorth, Eva Engel, and Ava Graham
