Dana Wilson Makes Indoor Sprint History

---

Greensboro (N.C.) Day School senior and University of Tennessee commit Dana Wilson delivered a stunning performance at the Darius Dixon Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at Liberty University. Competing under Nike Elite, Wilson dominated her collegiate competition and etched her name into the record books with two of the fastest indoor performances in U.S. high school history.

Wilson electrified the track in the 200-meter dash, blazing to a 22.96 finish. Her time fell just 0.05 seconds shy of Shawnti Jackson's North Carolina state indoor record of 22.91, set in 2023. The mark also ranks fourth all-time on the United States girls' indoor 200-meter list, cementing her place among the best sprinters in high school history.

With Lisa Raye of Rhode Island recently setting the national record of 7.13 at the Millrose Games, Wilson's performance sets up a highly anticipated showdown between the two at the upcoming Indoor National Championships.

Wilson's explosive showing at Liberty underscores her status as one of the nation's premier sprinters, and with championship season on the horizon, all eyes will be on her next move.
