It has been Lisa Raye's year. That trend continued on Saturday in New York as Raye claimed a Millrose Games win and crushed the U.S. high school girls 60m national record in the process.

Raye soared out of her blocks and powered down the homestretch as she fought off Melanie Doggett on her shoulder. Raye crossed the line with the win in 7.13, shattering the previous U.S. high school national record of 7.16 set by Shawnti Jackson in 2023.

Ironically, Jackson had set that mark at the 2023 Millrose Games.

Now just two years later, the record belongs to Rhode Island star Raye.

Entering today's meet, Raye's personal best was a 7.24. She posted that time at the New York International Showcase two weeks ago. In 2025, she holds national leads in the 55m and 60m. She is also top 10 nationally in the 200m and sits just outside the top 10 in the long jump.

Behind Raye, Doggett finished runner-up with a 7.17 run. Doggett, an eighth grader from Georgia, was just a hundredth of a second off of the previous high school record but set an age 13 world record with that mark. She previously held that title with her run of 7.39 two weeks ago.

When Are The Millrose Games?

The 2025 Millrose Games are slated to begin at 11:10 AM on Saturday, February 8. The event will begin with the men's distance medley relay, followed by the women's race. The meet will conclude at 5:50 PM with the NYRR Men's Wanamaker Mile.
