Vaulter Soar High at Reno Summit

The UCS Spirit National Pole Vault Summit showcased thrilling performances, headlined by Victor Oleson's standout victory in the boys' division. The junior soared to a national-leading mark of 17' 6", a monumental improvement from his 13th-place finish in 2024 (15' 4"). Oleson's jump not only tops the national indoor rankings but also ties him for 19th all-time in boys' indoor pole vault history. Arizona senior Sam Novak secured second place with a leap of 17' 2", marking just the second 17-foot jump of his career.
Four other boys vaulted to nationally-ranked performances of 16' 8", including Khaliq Muhammad, Isaiah Whitaker, Gator Young, and Robert Max Austin.
In the girls' competition, Hannah Grace dominated with a 14' 6" clearance, claiming the U.S. #1 spot. Her jump set a new indoor personal best by four inches and an overall PR by 0.75 inches. Tierra Cullivan and Addison Kleinke also delivered impressive performances, each clearing 13' 4" to secure top-ten national marks.
The summit set the stage for an exciting indoor season as athletes continue to raise the bar.
