Weekend Rewind: A Plethora of National Records and #1 Marks

The Leaderboards Were Rewritten at the 2025 VA Showcase

---

The 2025 VA Showcase lived up to its reputation as one of the premier high school indoor track and field events, featuring a wave of record-breaking performances and blazing-fast U.S. #1 times. Athletes left spectators in awe with their historic achievements, setting the tone for the rest of the season.

National Records

The Bullis School boys dominated the sprint medley relay, breaking their own national record with a time of 3:22.50, eclipsing the 3:23.86 mark they set at last year's VA Showcase. The team of Connor Salmin, Cameron Homer, Alexander Lambert, and Colin Abrams delivered a flawless performance from start to finish.

The Archbishop Carroll boys broke their own national record in the 4x200m relay, clocking 1:25.21. The team of Elijah Amenra, Niles Briggman, Keenen Davis, and Jake Odey-Jordan shaved 0.15 seconds off the record the school set at the 2024 adidas Track Nationals.

Bullis also shattered their national record in the mixed 4x400m relay, finishing in an astonishing 3:22.94 to obliterate their previous mark of 3:31.47. Quincy Wilson, Chrishelle Campbell, Cameron Homer, and Morgan Rothwell combined for an exceptional effort, with Wilson's 46.33 opening split setting the tone.

In one of the meet's most stunning moments, Andrew Salvodon broke the national record in the 500m dash with a time of 1:00.49, surpassing Will Sumner's 2022 record of 1:01.25. Salvodon's commanding performance left the crowd in awe and solidified his place in history.
