As all eyes turn to the trio of national championship meets coming our way over the next two weekends, we can't move on from the CIF State Championships without acknowledging the stellar results that came from Woodward Park. 

Hundreds of girls left Fresno with shiny new PB's, but there were quite a few that took off big chunks from their previous PB's.

As a junior, Las Lomas (Calif.) senior Lily Montilla never broke 23:00 over 5k, but at the CIF D3 Championships, Montilla finished 14th overall in 18:00.30, over five and a half minutes faster than she ran a year ago. Her 5:37.60 improvement made her the only girl in the state to improve by over five minutes, and one of the six to improve by three minutes or more.
