We're just a few weeks away from the fifth annual RunningLane Cross Country Championships at John Hunt Park in Huntsville, AL, one of the fastest courses in the country.
In 2020, Science Hill (Tenn.) standout Jenna Hutchins became the first high school girl to break 16:00, running 15:58.42.
Two years later, the Newbury Park (Calif.) dynasty led 72 boys under 15:00 in the fastest high school race in history. Newbury Park's Colin Sahlman broke the tape in 14:03.29, shattering the record by roughly seven seconds.
