Throughout this season, there have been a great deal of sophomores that have shifted gears since their freshman year. All across the U.S., talented runners are skipping the 'sophomore slump' and opting for PB's.

Out of 'The Peach State', the Westfield School's (Ga.) Charley Moore has been one of the top improvers amongst the nation's sophomores. Moore came into her second high school season sporting a 27:56.87 5k best, and notched a new lifetime best of 20:10.16 in September at the Gryphon Gallop in Macon, Georgia.

Moore knocked exactly 7:46.71 off of her freshman mark, just two seconds ahead of the nation's next-best improver, Indian Hill's (Ohio) Ella Grant

Grant has gone from 27:22.2 to 19:37.7 over the last year, a whopping 7:44.5 improvement.
