A weekend of state championships and the first national qualifier combined for a lot of great performances, as records were broken around the country.

The National Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, November 14, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Take a look at five of the top-performing girls from last weekend.

This Week's Nominees:

Mia Sirois, Barrington (Ill.): History for the sophomore! At her second IHSA Cross Country State Championship meet, Sirois set a new Illinois all-time record, breaking Judy Pendergast's (Naperville North) mark of 15:53.8. The sophomore sensation clocked 15:53.4, the fourth-fastest 3-mile time ever ran by a high school sophomore.  It's also the 17th-fastest time in high school history.

Mackenzie Roy, Spruce Creek (Fla.): For the seventh time this fall, Roy was the first to finish, running 17:15.39 for the FHSAA 4A Region 1 title. Roy is the fastest Floridian this season, with an 18-second lead on the next closest competitor. The senior sits No. 10 in Florida history and is the fastest in 4A this year by over 20 seconds.

Nelida Dalgas, North Salem (Ore.): The Oregon junior capped off a solid campaign with a runner-up finish at the OSAA 6A State Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Dalgas had only raced three times this year before the state championships, running as fast as 16:46.27. She finished 15 seconds back of the state champ, but still notched her highest finish at the state championships of her career. Dalgas is also No. 3 amongst Oregon juniors in the state's history.

Gianna Rahmer, Eldorado (N.M.): Former middle school sensation Gianna Rahmer has continued to dominate on all fronts at the high school level, capping off a 5-1 year with her fifth state title, and second in cross country. Rahmer ran 17:34.7 to put together a 54-second gap on the runner-up. The freshman is already the state record holder and is on pace for a historic career.

Claire Stegall, Nolensville (Tenn.): Up until the middle of October, the two-time defending Tennessee state champion had not made her senior debut. After opening up her final season in 16:57.1 at The VA XC Showcase, Stegall won the region title en route to her seventh state title and third straight on the grass. The future Florida Gator has a few different national championships to choose from, with qualifying meets for both Nike Cross and Foot Locker Nationals. Stegall finished fourth at Foot Locker South as a junior.
