Brianna Reilly & Hannah Genrich, Harrisburg (S.D): The star middle schools runners from South Dakota, put together a stellar NXR Heartland meet with Reilly finishing 6th overall with a time of 17:01.6 and Genrich finishing 7th overall with a time of 17:04.9. This marks the highest middle-school finishes at the meet since Lauren Ping finished 3rd as a 7th-grader in 2017 and 3rd as a 8th-grade rin 2018. Reilly also broke the 7th-grader meet record previously held by Lauren Ping (17:07.72), whiel Genrich ran the #2 8th-grade time at the meet all-time, only behind Anna Fenske (17:00.40). 

Corbin Coombs, Organ Mountain (N. Mex.): Coombs won the New Mexico State XC title for 5A, narrowly defeating the defending champion Charlie Vause 14:49.00 to 14:50.50. His time of 14:49 was 54 seconds faster than his time at state last year where he finished 4th overall. 

Rio Rancho (N. Mex.): The #18 ranked team nationally in the COROS MileSplit50 rankings, the Rio Rancho boys team of Charlie Vause, Cody Sullivan, Mateo Herrera, Alejandro Casaus, and Xavier Martinez dominated at the state meet, scoring 27 points and winning by 40. They finished with a minuscule 15:28 average and a split of 1:19. 

Eric Moore, Huntsville (Ala.): When Moore runs under 15 minutes this year, it has signaled good things for him as his only two wins have come under 15 minutes. With a time of 14:52.81, Moore won the Alabama state title for 7A, defeating Alabama's #1 ranked runner in Luke Alverson. 

Ben Pizarro, Tatnall (Del.): The senior from Tatnall dominated at the DIAA Cross Country State Championships, finishing with a time of 15:27.70 to claim the title by 21 seconds. Pizarro also helped lead the Tatnall boys to their fifth straight state title.
