Even though it feels like it just started, the cross country season is well over halfway done and states around the country have shifted their sights onto their respective postseason.

Even though we're beginning to run out of weeks in the season, girls around the country have made strides in their fitness over the last year.

Sage Creek (Calif.) senior Michela Miracco is establishing herself as one of the top runners in California thanks to a breakthrough season.

Miracco ran 17:29.78 at the 4th Annual Rose City Championship Invite as she took 9th overall, crossing the line over three minutes quicker than she did as a junior. 

Taryn Bailey, a senior out of DeSoto (Texas) has gone as quick as 18:00 this year, over three minutes faster than her lone result of 21:14.6 from a year ago.
