This fall, senior girls all over the U.S. have flipped the switch in their last prep season, with hundreds of them surging past their 2023 performances.

After running 20:44.5 as a junior, Sage Creek (Calif.) standout Michela Miracco has already ran sub-17:30 as a senior, clocking 17:29.78 at the 4th Annual Rose City Championship. The San Diego-based senior has taken 3:14 off of her previous best, the biggest improvement in the country.

DeSoto's (Texas) Taryn Bailey lowered her 2023 mark if 21:14.59 down to 18:00.0, 3:14.59 quicker than before.

National record holder Sadie Engelhardt sits atop the national leaderboard this fall, thanks to her big-time win at the ASICS Clovis XC Invitational.

Engelhardt won the race in 16:24.2, just over 15 seconds faster than her previous lifetime best she set as a junior.
