It doesn't matter what time of the year it is, these boys are still going to run fast!

In one of the last regular season weekends of the 2024 season, a few well-known standouts notched PB's heading into their state's respective postseason.

The National Performer of the Week poll will close at 5 p.m. CT on Thursday, Oct. 24, and the winner will be announced shortly after.

Take a look at five of the top-performing boys from last weekend.

This Week's Nominees:

Luke Alverson, James Clemens (Ala.): The senior had himself a busy few days a week ago, committing to the University of Michigan just days before running a lifetime best at the Randolph Invitational. Alverson broke the tape in 14:35.52, the second-fastest time in Alabama history, and the 11th-fastest performance this season. Alverson, one of the top returners in Alabama's 7A class, is aiming to win his second NPOTW honor this season.

Soheib Dissa, Newtown (Conn.): The Duke commit is one of two athletes on this list with two wins a week ago, winning both the SWC Championship and the VA XC Showcase. Dissa coasted to the win last Wednesday in 16:00 before dropping the hammer on Saturday. Dissa stopped the clock at 14:47.6, marking his first time under 14:50. In total, Dissa led five other guys under 15:00 and was the top dog in a field of nearly 300 competitors.

Nate Stadtlander, Meridian (Idaho.): For the first time since August, Stadtlander was the first one to cross the finish line. At the Bugtown Invite, the future Oklahoma State Cowboy blew past his lifetime best, running 14:46.96 for his second win of the year. Coming into the season, Stadtlander had never broke 15:00 for 5k, and in the last two weeks alone he's done it twice. The senior sits No. 5 in state history.

Sam Quagliaroli, Fishers (Ind.): Another week, another win! The future Hoosier checked off the first box in state qualifying, winning his IHSAA Sectional in 14:46.3, a new lifetime best. Quagliaroli kept his foot on the gas from the moment the gun went off, pulling away from the field. eventually finishing with a 44-second window behind him. Quagliaroli isn't just the fastest high schooler in the state this season but also sits No. 9 in state history.

TJ Hansen, Freeland (Mich.): Just over a month-and-a-half into the season, Hansen has already stepped up to the line a whopping ten times, and has won all but one of them. Last week, Hansen won the TVC Overall Meet in 16:54.38, before running 14:46.75 in his win at the Saginaw County Invite. Hansen won by 1:20, and was the only boy under 16:00.
