Niwot Puts on a Show at St. Vrain Invitational

The Niwot boys cross country team dominated the competition at the St. Vrain Invite, showcasing their immense talent and putting the rest of their 5A region in Colorado and the rest of the nations on notice. The Niwot Boys swept the top six spots, putting up a perfect score of 15 points, with junior Rocco Culpepper leading the charge, finishing first in 15:29.2. He was followed closely by juniors Robbie Hunter (15:38.0) and Gabriel Marshall (15:38.4), senior Keegan Geldean (15:46.0), junior Ryder Keeton (15:50.6), and sophomore Quinn Sullivan (15:58.2). Their average of 15:41 was almost a whole minute better than any other team at the meet, and betters their average of 15:44 from earlier this season.
On the girls side, it was a much closer competition, with Niwots Addison Ritzenhein taking home the individual win with a time of 17:24.9 over sophomore Delaney Reuter from Eaton with a time of 17:32.2. Through three meets this year, Ritzenhein is undefeated, having taken down the #12 runner in the country in Reuter, Mountain Vista standout Keeghan Edwards, and Air Academy's Tessa Walter. She is still the favorite for the Colorado state title and one of the favorites for a national title.
