Analysis: The battle for the title of the best team in New Jersey isn't even up for debate because Christian Brothers Academy is in a world of their own. Even after losing key contributors to graduation, Joe Barrett and his fellow returners are in a great position to defend both their NJSIAA Meet of Champions and NXR Northeast crowns.
Sporting a sub-50 second pack time, Christian Brothers Academy is one of only two teams in the state to have a pair of returners under 16:00. Alongside Barrett is Sean Galvin, an athlete who came up clutch for the Colts. Another weapon for CBA is their unmatchable depth, as they are the only team in New Jersey with all seven runners under 16:30. After finishing sixth at Nike Cross Nationals in 2023, the No. 2 ranked team has what it takes to contend for a national title.
