Analysis: As she gets set to defend her back-to-back 5A state titles, Rupe is one of the fastest girls in Kansas history, and is on pace to become the third girl to ever break 17:00 in state history.
Last fall, Rupe continued her unbeaten in-state streak. winning all eight races in incredibly dominant fashion. The fastest Rupe went last fall was 17:05.9 at the Bob Schmoekel Invitational. Rupe went on to win her second straight 5A cross-country state title in 17:36.2.
In total, Rupe has won six state titles and has posted a 14-3 record on the grass, unbeaten on Kansas soil.
With PB's of 10:17 and 4:54 on the track, the future Tar Heel is in a great spot to dominate once again.
