Analysis: In a field loaded with favorites, Addy Ritzenhein continues to dominant 'Ritzenhein' legacy, pulling away to win her first NXN title in 17:10.4. She's already solidified herself as the best runner in 'The Centennial State', but over the last year she's established herself as one of the top runners in the nation.
On the track, Ritzenhein clocked PB's of 10:12.78 and 4:42.56 in the 2 Mile and Mile, both huge improvements from her freshman campaign. The three-time state champion also signed an NIL deal with ON during the spring.
The 2023 National Gatorade Cross Country Athlete of the Year is someone to watch closely over the next few months.
