Analysis: The defending CIF DI state champion won all but one race over three miles last fall, with the outlier being a fourth-place finish behind a trio of stars at the Woodbridge Classic. She lowered her PB all the way down to 15:32.8, the No. 2 time in California and No. 4 performance nationwide.
Blade clocked 16:45.8 in the 5000m en route to a runner-up finish at the Clovis XC Invitational, which went on to be her fastest time of her junior campaign.
In her second trip to Portland, OR for NXN, Blade improved on her sophomore finish, running 19:00.5 to finish 76th. Her postseason on the track went much smoother, highlighted by a fifth-place finish and a national title in the 2 mile and 5000m at Nike Outdoor Nationals.
