Analysis: Williams had herself quite the sophomore campaign, rapidly rising through the California ranks as she became a star. Williams' cross country season is highlighted by her seventh-place finish at Nike Cross Nationals and strengthened by her fourth-place finish at the CIF DI Championships.
Williams didn't lose even a little bit of momentum during her track season, winning her first CIF state title in the 3200m in a lifetime best of 9:57.11. She also finished first at the CIF San Diego Section Championships in 4:40.29, her second time under 4:45.
Williams also finished third in her first-ever Nike Outdoor Nationals, and sixth at the Brooks PR Invitational, running 10:11 and 10:00 in the 2 mile.
