Olympians represent excellence on a global stage.

And for professional or collegiate -- or even high school -- track and field athletes who claim a spot on the U.S. Olympic team, it signifies a hallmark moment in a career.

But not all Olympians reached that global stage the same way.

Some were high school stars who navigated the college and professional ranks flawlessly. Others had to build, transform and develop over stages to reach that pinnacle.

We thought it would be interesting to look back into our recruiting archives to see just where Olympic medalists were ranked in high school.

MileSplit has been ranking high school recruits since 2018. As our methods have improved, so too have our lists. But even we miss the writing on the wall sometimes.

Check below to see where athletes were ranked in high school. You can find their corresponding list in the links.
