The dust has settled and the AAU Junior Olympic Games have officially ended.

AAU Track and Field national chairman Charles Oliver, better known as "Coach O," spoke with MileSplit on the second to last day of the meet and said that, above all else, AAU is the beginning of track careers for many youth athletes -- and 2024's installment had nearly 13,000 of them descend on the track at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, North Carolina over those eight days.

"We want to help them attain that goal of going to Paris or the Olympics and winning that gold medal after they win this one," Coach O said.

Coach O also said that 46 AAU alumni are currently competing in Paris, including Noah Lyles, Sha'Carri Richardson and Grant Holloway.

Numerous national records fell across track and field events, including a 27-year-old record in the 15-16yo boys 110m hurdles final.

Here's a look at the top five races from the AAU Junior Olympic Games.
