Le'Ezra Brown Overcomes Prelim To Win AAU National Title

Le'Ezra Brown found himself in an uncomfortable position at the AAU Junior Olympic Games during his 110 meter hurdle prelim.

While the North Carolina native was the prohibitive favorite to chase after the 17-18 year old boys title, he still needed to do some work in his prelim after struggling through his start and first hurdle.

Brown responded the very next day.

Exploding out of the blocks, the Greensboro Dudley High School senior and Nike Elite athlete secured an AAU national title in 13.50 (-0.2) seconds.

The time was just a hundredth of a second off his personal best of 13.49 seconds and solidified his burgeoning talent on a national stage. It also was an improvement of 0.68 seconds from the previous day.

MileSplit shadowed Brown before his preliminary and then caught up with him after his national championship. Check out our latest mic'ed up with the North Carolina star.
