A rain delay at the PUMA American Track League's Holloway Pro Classic didn't stop Montverde Academy's (FL) Skyler Franklin from moving up on the U.S. high school all-time list in the girls 400m.

In Gainesville, Florida, the sophomore lined up as the only high school athlete in the women's 400m field amongst professionals and collegian Aaliyah Butler and Franklin came away with a U.S. No. 3 all-time 51.01 in the race.

The U.S. Olympic Trials third-place finisher Butler led the whole way through, but Franklin was in the mix with Bailey Lear coming down the homestretch of the University of Florida's track.

Butler crossed the finish line in first in 50.14 with Lear closely behind as she took second place in 50.51.

Franklin finished ahead of former Texas Longhorn Courtney Okolo in third in 51.01.

This performance moved her up five spots on the all-time list, improved her U.S. No. 1 time and shattered her previous sophomore class record of 51.57.

This was the Jamaican's third sub-52-second performance this outdoor season.
