Over the last few months we've seen dozens of historic distance performances on the track, from national records to state records.
As we sit roughly just six weeks away from the start of the 2024 cross country season, we thought it would be a great time to check out the senior boys ready for one more year before college.
To see who had the best overall year across both cross country and track, we decided to look at their combined times after combining their 5K PB from last fall and their 3,200m best from this past season.
As one of the top returners in the country, it's no surprise that Dana Hills (CA) star Evan Noonan sits atop the list. He rank 14:35.8 on the grass and 8:43.12 on the track, making him the only athlete under 23:20.
Fremont's (NE) Juan Gonzalez and Roseville Area's (MN) Robert Mechura aren't far behind in 23:20.81 and 23:24.22.
