This month, college coaches can start offering scholarships and reaching out to members of the high school Class of 2026 who have just completed their sophomore years.

The contact period coincides with numerous national meets where athletes tested themselves against each other. Those meets included the Brooks PR Invitational, Nike Outdoor Nationals, New Balance Nationals Outdoor and the USATF U20 Championships.

Below, we highlight five girls from the Class of 2026 who thrived at those national competitions and caught the eye of college coaches.


Caroline Elliott

At Nike Outdoor Nationals, Elliott had a busy weekend, running in one individual event and three relays. She excelled every time she stepped on the track.
