American Heritage (Plantation) battled Miami Northwestern  and Belen Jesuit in the 3A State meet for the team title this season.  American Heritage won with a team score of 76 to the Northwestern Boys 68.  The Belen Jesuit boys were 3rd, scoring 52 points.  In the Team Power Rankings, however, the Belen boys showed the depth of their distance talent and edged the Miami Northwestern, boys for 2nd in the rankings.

Who has the best team in all divisions in Florida this year?  I went a little deeper than the scoring of a normal meet to reward top-level talent, scoring out to 20 places in the events.  The top place is 20 points, 20th place is 1 point.  This allows credit for performances that are still really good, but not in the top 8 for points.
