* Hadley Lucas is the top thrower in the nation after combining season bests in the shot put and discus

From Bloomington North's (IN) Hadley Lucas to Ashbrook's (NC) Camryn Massey, there have been a number of high school phenoms hitting big marks this outdoor season.
With both the shot put and discus being vastly different events, it's sometimes difficult to try to compare athletes in each discipline.
To combat that, we're going to combine both marks from each event to see who's got the farthest overall throws.
Lucas, the national leader in the shot put, is also the leader of this list with a combined distance of 229-10, coming from her 54-10 mark in the shot put and her 175-0 best in the discus.
Meanwhile, Massey, the nation's best discus thrower, sits No. 2 on the list, with throws of 48-4.75 and 180-2 totaling 228-6.75, just behind Massey.
