Summary: The defending state champions, Father McGivney, will start the season without their ace, senior Elena Rybak, who has a sore foot. The timetable for her return is not known at this time. Fortunately for the Griffins, they will have some depth led by all-purpose performer senior Lilly Gilbertson. She has competed well in the short/long sprints as well as on an assortment of relays. She can also run the 800 (even though there is no recorded open history).
Tuscola was the runner-up, and they will be hellbent on capturing the flag in 2025. They will have distance and sprint stars like Kate Foltz and Lia Patterson. Patterson is also a gift in the hurdles and relays if need be.
