This season has been filled with fast performances and big marks all across the board. When looking at the distance events, the times continue to drop week after week.

It's left us to wonder: Who will finish out the season on top?

Well, after combining the times of the top boys 1,600m and 3,200m performances so far this season, none other than current U.S. No. 1 for the 3,200m, Daniel Simmons, has landed on top. 

The senior at American Fork (UT) has solidified his way into the record books.

Although just a hair off his personal best time, his mark of 8:34.96 still has him as the No. 1 in the nation for the 3,200m. Combined with his U.S. No. 2 mark of 4:04.78, his combined marks come out to 12:39.74, placing him at the top of our list and the only athlete under the 12:40 mark on the combined times list.
