With the outdoor season already in full swing across most of the country, we are taking a look at which athletes have already improved on their personal bests in the 1,600m.

How about someone like Nicole HumphriesThe distance standout from Flower Mound High School and University of Oregon signee had a speedy personal best of 4:44.91 in 2023, but she has already knocked off a second from that time. 

Humphries ran a time of 4:43.51 at the Texas Distance Festival over the weekend, which gave her a new U.S. No. 1 time at the distance. In our most improved year-over-year numbers, Humphries lands at No. 209.
