On Sunday, Ventura's (CA) Sadie Engelhardt made her verbal commitment to NC State, well over a year ahead of her graduation date.

The decision is a big get for NC State, which has won three-straight NCAA Cross Country Championships and developed former New York star Katelyn Tuohy into the professional ranks.

Engelhardt is reminiscent of Tuohy and is the No. 1 recruit for the Class of 2025, having clocked age group records and record-breaking runs.

She hasn't wasted any time racking up state titles and all-time marks. The high school junior already owns two cross country and three outdoor California state titles in the 800m and 1,600m.
