It was a record-breaking weekend for Elise Cooper at the Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational in Staten Island.
The high school star from McDonogh School in Maryland pocketed the sixth-fastest 300 meter time in high school history on Saturday, finishing in a new U.S. No. 2 time of 37.32.
The performance surpassed a Maryland state record of 37.39, which was set only last month by Bullis School's Sydney Sutton.
Cooper wasn't done on Saturday, also winning the 60m in 7.44. She set a career best time of 7.41 in the prelims.
