The Girls Long Jump Competition Will Be Fierce

The girls long jump will be one of the top field events to watch in College Station.
It will feature Georgia signee Skylynn Townsend. The defending UIL and Nike Indoor National champion set a personal best this indoor season with a 20-2.5 mark. In 2023, she had an outdoor best of 20-8.5.
Townsend opened her outdoor campaign with a jump of 19-10.
Ashley Lister and London Tucker will look to have big performances as well. Lister, who has an outdoor personal best of 19-4.5, set a season best of 18-11.5 thus far this year.
Tucker, a senior from Burleson Centennial, finished second to Lister at the Duncanville Bob Alper Relays, where she jumped 18-8.5. She enters the meet with a personal best of 20-1.
