At the Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational at Boston University on Saturday, Sadie Engelhardt competed in the 1K with a mission to break Juliette Whittaker's national high school record of 2:39.41 from 2022.

She came up just short.

But even though Engelhardt didn't break the record, the Ventura High School (CA) junior found herself running the nation's fastest indoor time and the No. 4 all-time high school performance, stopping the clock at 2:41.00.

Her weekend didn't end there, though.

On Sunday, Engelhardt took a quick trip down to the road to the TRACK at New Balance and competed in the junior girls international mile at the New Balance Grand Prix.

Engelhardt continued the previous day's momentum and claimed another title and a U.S. No. 1 mark of 4:34.45, which ranks No. 3 all-time behind Mary Cain's 4:28 national record.
